Antarctic Rescue for Bear Grylls

Bear Grylls, host of Man Versus Wild, suffered a fall while climbing in Antarctica on Dec. 6th 2008.    The fall, suffered during a bivy on an ice ledge, has injured his shoulder and required air evacuation to South Africa.  The rescue was apparently delayed due to high winds, causing Grylls to wait approximately 36 hours before evacuation.

The expedition  included climbing, kite-skiing, paragliding and jet skiing.
